Terms and conditions

The rules for using Manasatna, written clearly and directly.

1. Acceptance and definitions

By using Manasatna you agree to these terms in full. They govern the relationship between the platform, educational institutions (or teachers) and students.

The platform: the provider of the technical service that runs the academy.
The academy: the customer who subscribes to the platform to offer its content.
The student: the end user who signs up at the academy.

2. License to use

We grant you a non-exclusive license to use the platform as a service (SaaS).

The platform remains the intellectual property of the company that develops it.
Copying, modifying or reselling any part of the platform’s code is prohibited.
We reserve the right to update the platform and to add or remove features to improve the service.

3. Content and intellectual property

Your content remains entirely yours.

The academy is the sole owner of all its videos, questions and files.
The platform has no right to use or sell your content.
The academy is responsible for its content being lawful and not infringing others’ property rights.
We use technology to protect content (encryption and watermarks), but we don’t guarantee complete protection against every advanced method of attack.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Payment terms for subscribing to the platform (for academies):

Subscriptions are paid in advance (monthly or yearly).
We take no commission on the academy’s sales (only the payment gateway’s fees apply).
If the subscription is not renewed, the academy’s site closes to students after a 3-day grace period from the end of the subscription, and reopens as soon as it is renewed.
Refunds of a subscription or of a topped-up balance are only through Manasatna support, on a request made within 14 days of payment, and not after that.

5. The academy’s responsibilities

As the academy’s manager, you are responsible for:

Financial dealings between you and your students, including refunds to them.
Protecting the sign-in details of your account and your team’s accounts.
The quality of the teaching you provide to your students.
The platform is not responsible for any financial or academic dispute between the academy and a student.

6. Student payments

Manasatna is a technical intermediary between the academy and its students, not a party to the sale:

Card or wallet payments go directly to the academy’s own XPay account, and manual transfers go to the academy’s number; Manasatna never receives students’ money.
Any refund or chargeback is settled between the student, the academy and the payment gateway, under XPay’s terms.
The academy sets its prices and refund policy for its students, and must make them clear to them.

7. Acceptable use

Using the platform is prohibited for:

Stolen content or content that infringes others’ property rights (courses, books or videos you don’t own).
Illegal or pornographic content, or content inciting violence or hatred or harming minors.
Spam to numbers that don’t belong to the academy’s parents or students.
Attempting to break into the platform or others’ accounts, or overloading the platform with automated requests.
The platform may take down infringing content or suspend an infringing academy.

8. Artificial intelligence

The AI assistant, essay grading and follow-up summaries:

These tools (TodiAI) run on Claude by Anthropic, lesson video audio is transcribed to text by Cloudflare Workers AI, and requests are processed on their servers (details in the privacy policy).
AI answers can be wrong; it is an aid, not a replacement for the teacher. The academy is responsible for reviewing grades before approving them when it chooses to.
AI usage is counted against the plan’s monthly AI points, at the actual cost of each request.

9. WhatsApp and messages

Notifications to parents:

WhatsApp is linked to the academy’s own number through “Linked devices”, which is not an official WhatsApp integration; WhatsApp may restrict or ban the number, and Manasatna is not responsible for that. A number dedicated to the academy is recommended.
The academy is responsible for messaging only parents and students registered with it, and for their consent to receive the messages.
A parent can stop automatic notifications at any time by replying «إيقاف» (stop), and turn them back on with «تشغيل» (start).
SMS and verification messages are counted against the plan’s allowance.

10. Service availability

We do our best to keep the platform stable:

We don’t guarantee a specific uptime.
The service may pause briefly for scheduled maintenance, with notice in advance.
We are not responsible for outages beyond our control (such as failures at server providers or payment gateways).

11. Ending the service

When can an account be stopped?

The academy may cancel its subscription at any time, and the subscription does not renew automatically.
The platform may close any academy that uses it for illegal activity or infringes property rights.
After the subscription ends, the content stays saved so you can continue, and you can ask for it to be deleted permanently at any time from the contact page.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Any dispute is first settled amicably.
If that fails, the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction.

13. Updates

Updating the terms:

We may change the terms, and the update will be published on this page.
Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the new terms.

Operator

The Manasatna platform (manasatna.com) is owned and operated by Todi Digital Services, the legally registered entity that contracts with users.
